Ashley Kehoe - A Journey of Passion and Dedication
At the tender age of four, Ashley Kehoe's love affair with horses began, ignited by a pony named Sparky at her fifth birthday party. From that moment on, her destiny was clear. Moving to Pennsylvania at nine, she delved into hunter-jumper competitions and formed a bond with the spirited Leprechaun. However, witnessing her first three-day event set her heart on cross country, marking the beginning of her journey into eventing.
Mentors like Pam Wiedemann and the esteemed Karen and David O'Connor, whom she trained for five years, were essential in guiding Ashley. Her dedication to academics and equestrian pursuits led her to earn her BBA from James Madison University while developing her product, the Rebound Hoof Pack. Despite business success, Ashley's true passion remained with horses, leading her to spend the next decade honing her skills as a rider.
Her journey crossed borders, riding for renowned names like Emily Beshear, Debbie Adams, Sharon White, and Michael Pollard before relocating to Germany to train under Phillip Kolossa. Over the years, Ashley immersed herself in various rider programs, gleaning insights and experiences that would shape her training philosophy.
In 2017, Ashley returned to the US, establishing her own training business while continuing to pursue her competitive aspirations. She has succeeded at the FEI 4* level and hopes one of her upcoming equine partners will make it to the 5* level soon. Her partnership with Equinavia has been instrumental in her journey, providing unwavering support and quality equestrian products that align with her values. As she continues to nurture young talents like Daktaris and Ronald Zabala-Goetschel's promising prospects, Ashley's story is a testament to the power of passion and perseverance in the equestrian world.
